Inca Trail From The Andes Down To The Coast In 3 Days

The Qhapaq Ñan (Main road or great Inca road) is name in ancient Inca language - The Inca road system was the most extensive and advanced transportation system in pre-Columbian South America thanks to the hard work the Inca’s did to communicate various valleys and towns with Inca empire as known as Qosqo (Cuzco).
One of many Inca trail was connecting from to Andes to the coast – Today those regions are recognize as Ayucucho and Nasca departments – Both regions are located on the southern of Lima or the west of Cuzco – The trail was built with ancient technics to support lot traffic of Llamas and people on that time – The purpose of the traffic on that trail was for making business (trueque or exchange) with different kinds of products between villagers from the Andes and the coast.
Valley of Chuquimaran
Today this Qhapaq Ñan (Inca trail) is abandon thanks to the new asphalt road from Nasca to Cusco – The locals already forgot to continue using this Inca trail and this is main reason for PERU ADVENTURE TOURS to rediscover this ancient network organizing 3 days trek from the valley of Chuquimaran (2400M) to the coast lands where is located the valley of Pajonal/Nazca (600M).
The climate and landscape change lot thanks to ecological floors from the begin to the end – 9 months of the year the weather is hot and the raining is between January to March making very attractive for hiking when are new plants and the river sound very powerful – This part of Peru have lost variety of flora and fauna – The most common fauna are eagles, condors, falcons, deer, Huanaco, foxes, parrots, dove, snakes, lizards, scorpions, Vizcacha or Chinchilla, parakeets, hummingbirds and of course the flora includes many kinds of cactus, trees, flowers and bushes from the highlands and coast.
Cerro Blanco Dune 2070M
The trail includes mostly gradual descend and some flat areas on the last day – The landscape offer impressive view of valley, agriculture terracing, rivers, archaeological remains including Inca tombs (Lucqajasa), welcome from local farmers, undiscovered view of the back side of the highest dune in world as known as Cerro Blanco (2070M).
The 3 day trek was design by PERU ADVENTURE TOURS for people wanting to get good training for the Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
