After the last 40th edition of most extremely rally in the world (Peru, Bolivia and Argentina) we are planning the next adventure to chase the Dakar 2019 from the start to the finish podium (41st edition).
As tour operator based in Peru we will chase rally in the inmensity of dunes and along the peruvian coasts where is not easy to drive for all competitors thanks to high temperature, soft and steep sand walls.

This tour itinerary was designed by PERU ADVENTURE TOURS,the company is based and authorized as tour operator by the peruvian authorities - Since many times our company organize this even to chasing the rally as know as "DAKAR" and of course we know unproffesional practices of some "tour companies" on internet who using our information, our company name to captate clients, sell the trip and ask for first deposit to secure the trip and them they just dissapear from internet (no website, no phone numbers, etc) harming the travelers.
We advise to be careful before to book the trip and especially if you decide to arrange any deposit under request.

1st Option :: 12 DAYS CHASING THE DAKAR RALLY 2019

JANUARY 5 - WELCOME TO DAKAR (OPTIONAL): This day at 5PM will be OPTIONAL meeting with all Dakarians participants to introduce you the Dakar adventure (hotel excluded) - The place for meeting (name and address) will be confirmed by e-mail on December 30th, 2018 - Hotel in Lima is not included for this night.
JANUARY 6 – START PODIUM: At 8AM picking up from your hotel (Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro only) and begin the guided and walking city tour of old historical and colonial downtown (Main Plaza de Armas, The cathedral of Lima, Saint Francisco Catacombs, and Plaza San Martin) – Lunch will be included at one of the most reputable restaurant to try Peruvian dishes (included) – Around 2PM transfer to the START PODIUM of the Dakar and if is possible get contact with your favorite Dakar pilot/team, the visit until 5PM and then drive for about 3 hours to hotel in Pisco (20M).
JANUARY 7 (LIMA - PISCO): Today the breakfast will be early and then pickup from hotel by our 4WD trucks and we drive to immerse in the vast desert of Pisco to watch the first winners of today stage – If time permit visit the bivouac of the organization by outside – 3hrs drive to the south until the small city of Palpa (340M) and stay in a hotel located in middle of valley de Palpa and Rio Grande.
JANUARY 8 (PISCO - MARCONA): According the information of rally organization this day will be the second large stage from Pisco to San Juan de Marcona – Off-roading adventure on the desert of Huayury area (Ica region) to find good dunes and watch the rally until 2PM and then return to highway and drive 182K to our hotel in Acari (160M).
JANUARY 9 (MARCONA - AREQUIPA): After breakfast at the hotel we take our 4x4’s and drive to the bottom of Toro Mata dune, set up our bivouac and wait for the first racers – Today we will enjoy the rally till midday and then 8hours driving along the Pacific Ocean (422KM) to next place to stay – Hotel in Mollendo (sea level).
JANUARY 10 (MARATHON AREQUIPA - MOQUEGUA/TACNA): Today wake up early for breakfast and then drive for about 3H30M along the coast and then uphill to the dunes of Ilo (1500M) – Our camp staff will work to setup the bivouac and enjoy the rally all-day – Today our company provide BBQ for lunch, dinner and camp fire – Camping in middle of the desert under starry sky.
JANUARY 11 (TACNA/MOQUEGUA - AREQUIPA): Nice wake up surrounding by huge dunes and sunrise over the desert – Country breakfast will be supply by our camp staff, after packing our camping gear we will be ready to wait for the race on the way back from Moquegua/Tacna to Arequipa, we will navigate in our 4x4’s around the same dune to find a good spot – Around 2PM we start the transfer to Arequipa for about 4hours (284KM) – Hotel in Arequipa (2400M).
JANUARY 12 (AREQUIPA RESTING DAY): At 8AM you will be picking up from the hotel and transfer to downtown of Arequipa for nice walking guided trip to explore the colonial and historical center – The place to visit will be the Plaza de Armas and cathedral considered one of the nicer in Peru, the colonial Santa Catalina monastery, and some pedestrian streets – Free time until 4PM and then 3 hours of drive to hotel in Camana (sea level).
JANUARY 13 (AREQUIPA - MARCONA): Today after breakfast driver for about 5 hours along the Pan-Americana highway to find the dunes section along the coast line of Arequipa region – Some off-roading on Usaka and Toro Mata sand dunes to find a good spot and wait for the start of the rally – Hotel in Atico (sea level).
JANUARY 14 (MARCONA - MARCONA): Breakfast will be around 6AM to be ready and drive for about 3 hours to the place Yauca and see the begin of the rally next of the sea – Today we will practice more off-roading and luckily we will find 2 or more spots to watch the competitors – Around 4PM transfer for about one hour to hotel in Nasca (600M).
JANUARY 15 (MARCONA - PISCO): Today you have to wake up at 6AM for breakfast and drive for about 3 hours to the end of the rally – The place to find a good spot will be between Ica and Pozo Santo area, there are long desert offering good location to see the rally until 4PM and then transfer to hotel in Pisco (sea level).
OPTIONAL tour to flight over the Nazca lines (30M) from airport neat of the town – This tour cost additional $170 USD per person including airport tax and a aircraft for 12 people capacity.
JANUARY 16 (PISCO - PISCO): After breakfast around 8AM pickup from hotel and transfer to our bivouac located in middle of the desert of Pisco – Watch the competition till 2PM and then 2 hours of private transfer from Pisco to Cañete (130KM) – The valle of Cañete (50M) will be a great place to stay in nice hotel as last night of this adventure.
JANUARY 17 (PISCO - LIMA): Today will be free for group decision – The first option will be see the last part of the rally or drive directly to end podium in Lima and drop-off at your hotel in Lima (excluded) and end of the adventure.

The price already includes all mentioned above in each tour itinerary- If there is a group of 2 or 3 people wanting to book a private service this can be customized according request.
If there is a group of 1, 2 or 3 people will share the 4x4/van with other participants – In case the group size is over 5 people PERU ADVENTURE TOURS will divide in two to share other 4x4/van with other participants during the whole DAKAR RALLY TOURS 2019.

3. Amend your tour for FREE
Our trip advisor will proposed you the acting tour plan within 24 hours or less, which you can further discuss the entire tour plan to suite your satisfactory. So feel free to express your wants, and take good advantages of your personal travel advisor's.

4. Confirm & pay deposit of $500 USD at booking time
A payment of $500 USD deposit of the total amount must be paid to us at booking time. If we receive your booking for less than 10 days prior to the tour start date, might we will ask for payment to be made in full once you confirm the tour, ask for this before you book the tour.

5. Final Payment & Enjoy your tour

CAMPING AREA ALONG ROUTE OF DAKAR 2019 (Peru)

The camping will be done just in Peru territory and this could be next of Pacific Ocean (remote beaches) or somewhere in the middle of the desert between the start and end stage of the next day - The price includes all camping gear (tent, mats and sleeping bag), campfire, barbecue as diner and soft drinks - The camping area will be chosen just few days prior according some factors as weather, distances, and other priorities in benefit of the group - Our company supply different sizes of tent for 1 and 2 participants in each tent.

PERU ADVENTURE TOURS will provide camping equipment for each participant of DAKAR RALLY TOURS 2019.
TENT (Four season) You will get a tent for 2 and 3 people capacity with enough room for backpacks. The tent good enough for heavy rain and well ventilated for hot weather - each tent includes moquito net.
FEATHER SLEEPING BAG (-10°C) Clean and big sleeping bag will be provided for each camping night.
INFLATE MATS This thermal roll inflate mat is very comfortable to be used in compaq terrain or on soft sand.

NEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK A PLACE FOR THE RALLY

DRIVE DISTANCE: The trip is only suitable for all adventure people – This expedition includes many hours of drive each day to reach the destiny for camping or stay in hotel located big cities or small towns - The Dakar event takes place in very remote landscape with difficult access routes and this can cause some delay or inconvenience to any of our 4x4 so we suggest lot of patience and remain calm until our camp staff solve the problem.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: From December to April is considered summer season along the Pacific coastal line (35°C) we recommend to be ready for high temperature and always bring soft drinks - The opposite situation is the rainy season in all the Andes of South America (-10 °C), the rain is very heavy and possibly the competition will be suspended or cuted thanks to high level of rivers or floods on the bolivian territory.

DESERT SHADOW: Our dakar team is going to make shadow in middle of the desert and next to the race to protect you from strong sun - The shadow will be every day and sure every participant is going to enjoy this.

PERU ADVENTURE TOURS recommend being in good physical - Popele having lung, heart or blood circulation problems should consult their doctor for the altitude.
